<figure><img src="https://2358482125-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2FnzJLCq1xPzaTeHpOVSMT%2Fuploads%2FyflYcmIN6p5zXzt7ucas%2Fimage.png?alt=media&amp;token=689c9ddd-07f5-4e70-8144-18ed705b0683" alt="" width="257"><figcaption><p>Allow Label Change</p></figcaption></figure>

The feature, located on the right-hand side of the page, enables users to rearrange the sequence of labels according to their preferred order. For example, the labels are structured as "Public," "Internal," "Restricted," and "Confidential." However, users have the flexibility to customize this order based on their specific preferences, ensuring that the classification labels align effectively with their organizational needs and data management.

<figure><img src="https://2358482125-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2FnzJLCq1xPzaTeHpOVSMT%2Fuploads%2FExMZ8lSCNGNX2hassPkG%2Fimage.png?alt=media&amp;token=d34fd7c5-10ab-4885-8c64-f8bfecccbe9c" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

\
When Label Ordering is enabled, users can choose to either downgrade or upgrade the classification level of files based on their preferences.

* **Downgrade**: This action changes a file's classification level from a higher sensitivity level (e.g., "Restricted") to a lower sensitivity level (e.g., "Public").
* **Upgrade**: Conversely, an upgrade changes a file's classification level from a lower sensitivity level to a higher one.

<figure><img src="https://2358482125-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2FnzJLCq1xPzaTeHpOVSMT%2Fuploads%2FOC1MQGrwEDXtJHPPrQ5b%2Fimage.png?alt=media&amp;token=52f8c7b3-1d80-4e2b-ac23-a96047d84719" alt="" width="563"><figcaption><p>Blocking Labels</p></figcaption></figure>

Users have the option to block either the downgrade or the upgrade process for users when label ordering is enabled. This setting allows users to maintain control over the classification levels of their files, ensuring that sensitive information remains appropriately protected while providing flexibility for managing data access and permissions.

The justification requirement <img src="https://2358482125-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2FnzJLCq1xPzaTeHpOVSMT%2Fuploads%2FccNPjwMbYV1TmWDUPAch%2Fimage.png?alt=media&amp;token=71fde237-026d-4ac7-a251-f5442426b375" alt="" data-size="line">for label changes is a critical aspect of our data power framework. By mandating users to provide a justification when modifying classification labels, we support transparency in our data management practices. This requirement ensures that each label change is accompanied by a clear, documented either through a written explanation or by selecting a reason from a predefined dropdown menu. Offering predefined reasons updates the process while allowing users the option to provide additional context through free-text entries enhances the comprehensiveness of our documentation.

<figure><img src="https://2358482125-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2FnzJLCq1xPzaTeHpOVSMT%2Fuploads%2FuORuFDZoJAjMfnncIO7M%2Fimage.png?alt=media&amp;token=9c870443-6854-4914-88f8-e19621c1aab3" alt=""><figcaption><p>Labeling Option</p></figcaption></figure>

The labeling option allows users to decide how new labels are created within our system. Users can choose between three modes: AI, manual, or recommendation.

* **AI Mode**: In this mode, the system uses artificial intelligence to automatically generate labels based on patterns and data analysis.&#x20;
* **Manual Mode**: Users have full control in this mode. They manually assign labels to data based on their judgment and understanding of the content.&#x20;
* **Recommendation Mode**: This mode combines the strengths of both AI and manual modes. The system suggests labels based on AI analysis, but users have the final say and can override the suggestions if needed.&#x20;

<figure><img src="https://2358482125-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2FnzJLCq1xPzaTeHpOVSMT%2Fuploads%2FAAvUt0CIe3644Bbn2r9t%2Fimage.png?alt=media&amp;token=5eb56f8e-362a-4547-bc49-0e463ac16199" alt="" width="563"><figcaption><p>Classification Mandatory</p></figcaption></figure>

When classification is mandatory, users must classify files before sending them. This ensures that all files are properly categorized, enhancing organization and data management practices.

If a user needs to leave the General Settings page without completing their changes, they will be prompted to either save or discard the modifications they have made. This ensures that any adjustments made to the settings are handled appropriately, maintaining data integrity and preventing unintended alterations.

# Server Scanner

This powerful tool is designed to help organizations maintain strong data security by systematically scanning and classifying files on Windows servers. Unlike desktop solutions, the Server Scanner operates on server environments to ensure full coverage of all data sources.&#x20;

By using advanced AI technology, the Scanner accurately identifies and classifies sensitive data, including personally identifiable information (PII), protected health information (PHI), and other regulated information.

Administrators configure in the portal the scanning policies and manage classification groups. Once installed, the Scanner performs regular scans and communicates with the AI to ensure up-to-date classification and protection of all files.&#x20;

This user manual will guide you through the setup and operation of the Server Scanner, ensuring data security needs are met efficiently and effectively.

### <mark style="color:purple;">Server Scanner Workflow</mark>

1. **Initial Scan**

* The Scanner begins by scanning files on the server one by one, excluding any files banned from scanning as configured by the admin on the portal.

2. **Configuration Check**

* After scanning a file, the Scanner consults the configuration settings added by the admin in the Cybral Guard portal. This configuration includes specific classification groups.

3. **AI Classification Request**

* The Scanner sends the file to the AI for classification based on the specified classification groups in the portal configuration.

4. **AI Processing**

* The AI processes the file and assigns labels from each classification group according to the configuration.&#x20;

{% hint style="success" %} <mark style="color:purple;">**Example**</mark>

The file should be classified from classification group 1 with label A

The file should be classified from classification group 2 with label B

<mark style="color:purple;">**The AI returns the labels along with their priorities to the Scanner.**</mark>
{% endhint %}

&#x20;      &#x20;

5. **Label Assignment**:

* The Scanner receives the labels and assigns them to the file in the order of their priority, as specified by the AI.

6. **Revalidation**:

* The Scanner revalidates the AI’s decisions against the portal’s configuration to ensure the labels match the admin's restricted settings and classifications.

7. **Continuous Monitoring**:

* To ensure the service runs smoothly, the Scanner rechecks files every 24 hours, verifying that all the new files or files subjected to modifications are correctly labeled and scanned according to the latest configuration and classification settings.
