App Settings

The App Settings page serves as a central hub for customizing classification settings specific to various applications, allowing users to tailor classification parameters according to the unique characteristics of different file formats such as Word, Excel, and PowerPoint documents.

On the right-hand side of the page, users can select the form of classification that will appear on the file, as illustrated in the example below.

Administrators have the option to specify Cybral Guard classifications to appear as header, footer, or other designated locations within the file.

When editing settings, users will be required to save changes before leaving the page. A confirmation prompt will appear, allowing users to either save or discard the modifications, as demonstrated in the example below.

Administrators also have the option to enable or disable classification through the App Settings page. This can be done for different applications, providing flexibility and control over the classification process.

Outlook is one of the key applications where administrators can implement Cybral Guard regulations and rules to ensure full data protection and compliance. Through Cybral Guard, administrators can enforce policies and classifications directly within Outlook, enabling users to apply data classification and security measures to their emails and attachments.

Through the App settings, the admin can exclude some file extensions and paths from being scanned through the scanner.

Click on "Edit Settings" to choose the paths and file extensions you want to exclude from scanning.
