The App Settings page serves as a central hub for customizing classification settings specific to various applications, allowing users to tailor classification parameters according to the unique characteristics of different file formats such as Word, Excel, and PowerPoint documents.
The All Connectors button allows users to access and manage the settings of connectors displayed messages and other settings.
Through the Edit Settings option in the Connectors Page, users can customize the language of the messages displayed by connectors.
Users can select between English and Arabic for the connector messages display language.
In addition to selecting a preferred language, users can enable the Translation in Connector Messages option to ensure the chosen language is further optimized and accurately displayed, enhancing user experience.
Assigning Static rules, This feature allows users to classify files based on their extensions, bypassing the need to inspect the file's content.
Choose a Classification Group: Users can select an existing classification group from the dropdown menu.
Assign a Label: Select a predefined label to tag files matching the specified extensions.
Specify File Extensions: Add the desired file extensions (e.g., .json
, .png
, .zip
) by typing them into the input field.
To modify settings in the general on the App Settings page, users can simply click on Edit Settings.
Within the Edit Settings section, users can customize the form of classification that will appear on files. On the right-hand side of the page, users have the option to select their preferred classification format.
Administrators have the option to specify Cybral Guard classifications to appear as header, footer, or other designated locations within the file.
When editing settings, users will be required to save changes before leaving the page. A confirmation prompt will appear, allowing users to either save or discard the modifications, as demonstrated in the example below.
Administrators also have the option to enable or disable classification through the App Settings page. This can be done for different applications, providing flexibility and control over the classification process.
Outlook is one of the key applications where administrators can implement Cybral Guard regulations and rules to ensure full data protection and compliance. Through Cybral Guard, administrators can enforce policies and classifications directly within Outlook, enabling users to apply data classification and security measures to their emails and attachments.
Through the App settings, the admin can exclude some file extensions and paths from being scanned through the scanner.
Click on "Edit Settings" to choose the paths and file extensions you want to exclude from scanning.
